REPRESENTATIVENESS
PLURALITY AND DIVERSITY
The fulfillment of Justice and the strength of the Democratic Rule of Law demand representative institutions capable of reflecting the plurality and diversity of Brazilian society.
Aware that systemic barriers have historically created obstacles to the presence of women — especially Black women — in positions of power and management within the Justice System, JUSTA, Fórum Justiça, and THEMIS Gênero, Justiça e Direitos Humanos present the first edition of the "Pathways to Women's Leadership in Justice" Program.
This initiative aims to achieve, consolidate, and internalize gender and racial parity in decision-making and power spheres, so that female judges, prosecutors, and public defenders can fully exercise their political rights within the justice system as well.

PARITY
We acknowledge the progress already made within the Justice System, but the persistence of discrimination represents a structural problem that requires a multidimensional, intersectional, sustainable, democratic, and scalable approach—one that is both feminist and anti-racist.
There is, at this moment, a historic window of opportunity, marked by a significant number of power positions to be filled over the next 5 years, and by a context in which the public debate on affirmative action policies within the justice system is gaining traction.
